29th Annual On the Fly

Wayne Harpster and his family offer their private waters on premiere Spruce Creek for our annual On the Fly fishing tournament. This unique one-fly tournament begins with breakfast, two fishing sessions separated by a hearty lunch, and concludes with a happy hour and awards presentation. A team consists of four individuals with a rotating schedule of fishing. The legendary Joe Humphreys presents seminars and casting tactics; stream entomology and fly tying demonstrations are also on site. All day tickets, banquet tickets, and other sponsorship opportunities are available. 

On the Green

Thursday, June 12 & Friday, June 13, 2025

The Youth Service Bureau will host our annual On The Green golf tournament at Penn State Golf Courses. The event will begin on Thursday, June 12 with a reception. You will enjoy Hors D’oeuvres with the option to participate in the Long Drive Competition as well as a Silent and Live Auction. The tournament will take place on Friday, June 13.

On the Field

September 19, 2025 is Our annual clay shooting competition, On the Field, will be held at Shenecoy Sportsmen in Huntingdon, Pa. The day begins with the always popular practice session, followed by a hearty lunch, and then the 12:30pm shotgun start. The evening concludes with hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction showcase, followed by awards and the banquet. Pewter awards are the favorite among shooters and presented to team champion, lady champion, and individuals. Banquet tickets and other sponsorship opportunities are available.

Community Events Benefiting YSB

All YSB fundraising events promote a friendly atmosphere and camaraderie between new and old friends with the ambition of empowering children. These events raise funds needed to maintain the array of programs and services of the YSB. The YSB is a non-profit human service agency that has been serving children, youth, and families of Centre County and surrounding counties since 1968.

YSB Special Events are held rain or shine.  Because these are charitable events, no refunds will be made if it becomes impossible to complete the event due to adverse weather or circumstances beyond the event committee’s control.
